Varsity Vibe 2021 wrap up

One of the best things about this time of year is getting a chance to look back and reflect on the past year. We’ve seen many ups and downs as a country but overall, 2021 has been an incredible year for Varsity Vibe. 

We’re all about helping SA youth save money and get more value from the brands they know and love. We try to reach as many students and youth as possible and give them access to the widest range of deals and discounts. We’re happy to say, “Mission accomplished!”.  In 2021, we saw our sign-up numbers more than double from 2020. July 2021 was our best month with a record-breaking 21 000+ signups in one month. 

Alongside our increased memberships, we’ve also expanded our partnerships with over 15 brands including household names like Dis-Chem, Debonairs Pizza and Gautrain. You asked, we listened and we delivered! VV members can look forward to many more brands and exclusive deals in 2022.

 

The world of social media is ever evolving. In collaboration with our new and existing partners, we’ve elevated our content through exciting influencer campaigns with brands like Superbalist, vida e caffè and Lift Airlines.

We’ve introduced more video-based content on platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. This has helped us spread the message of Varsity Vibe to an even larger audience.

With social media becoming more important in reaching our audience digitally, we’re happy to celebrate reaching over 21 000 followers on Instagram!

We wrapped up the year with our first Student Spend survey which has allowed us to identify areas where we can add even more value to the lives of our students.
